Signed by Mozart, dated by someone else.

Mozart signed it di Wolfgango Amadeo Mozart. The date under his name, April 26, 1779, was added in pale grey ink by Johann Anton André, who acquired Mozart’s papers in 1800. The autograph is kept at The New York Public Library, Music Division.

And the “N. 31.” in the top corner is not a mistake. Georg Nikolaus Nissen, Constanze Mozart’s second husband, wrote it there as his catalogue number. Today the symphony is No. 32. The notebook reproduces that page, and every other, at actual size.
